Frequently asked questions

Clear answers about using MonarchLeague at real Commander tables, from your first league to offline matches, statistics and account controls.

General

What is MonarchLeague?

MonarchLeague is an offline-first companion for physical Magic: The Gathering Commander and EDH games. It tracks the table, organizes private leagues and preserves useful match history without replacing the real game or adding public matchmaking.

Is MonarchLeague an official Magic app?

No. MonarchLeague is independent, unofficial fan content and is not approved or endorsed by Wizards of the Coast. Magic: The Gathering material remains the property of its respective rights holders.

Which platforms and languages are supported?

MonarchLeague is built for iOS, Android and the web, with English, Italian, French, Spanish and German interfaces. Current public availability is shown by the official store links on the homepage.

Playing & offline

Can I play without an internet connection?

Yes. The game table and life tracker are designed to keep working offline. Actions that need the server—such as joining a league, reports or the AI Judge—finish when a connection is available. Do not clear app data before pending matches have synchronized.

What does the Commander tracker record?

It can track life, commander damage, poison counters, turns, eliminations and the winning play. Values follow the taps made at the table, so players remain in control of corrections and special game situations.

When is a match saved and counted?

A completed match requires a winner. The final summary confirms turns and the winning play; a cancelled table is not included in statistics. The same match identifier is kept through synchronization retries so the result is counted once.

How does table handoff work?

A league member can create a short handoff code for an active table. Another member of that same league can claim it and continue the tracker; people outside the league cannot read or take over the table.

Leagues & decks

How do I create or join a private league?

Create a league from the Global Hub or enter an invitation code shared by a member. Open leagues admit valid code holders immediately; approval leagues wait for an owner or vice to accept the request.

Who can see and manage league data?

League content is shared with its members, not every signed-in user. Owners and vices have additional management powers, while each member controls actions such as their own votes, comments and attendance where applicable.

How do global and league decks work together?

Your global deck is the personal source. Creating a deck for yourself inside a league creates or links a global deck and a league version. One global deck can be linked to versions in several leagues. Removing a league version leaves the global deck intact; removing the global deck removes its live linked versions while completed-match history and statistics remain preserved.

Stats & rules

How are statistics and deck Power Level calculated?

Statistics come from completed league matches: wins, losses, eliminations, duration and deck performance use the shared match history. A deck’s Power Level is based on ratings submitted by opponents across its played matches, not a single lucky win.

Can the AI Judge be wrong?

Yes. It uses Oracle information and the Comprehensive Rules to help explain interactions, but it does not replace an official judge. Important decisions should be checked against the cited rules, and inaccurate answers can be sent for review with thumbs down.

Safety, account & PRO

How do reports and moderation work?

Profiles, comments and AI answers can be reported through their visible controls. Reports are confidential and reviewed by the owner of MonarchLeague. League owners and vices can separately remove members according to league permissions.

What happens if I leave a league or delete my account?

Your access and private account data are removed. Shared records needed to keep other members’ completed matches and statistics correct remain detached from your identity and are shown under an anonymous player.

How do I restore, manage or cancel PRO?

Use Restore Purchases in the app when signing back into the same MonarchLeague account. Billing, renewal, cancellation and refunds are managed by the Apple App Store or Google Play account used for the purchase; deleting MonarchLeague does not cancel the store subscription.
